Idaho Cobalt Project

The Idaho Cobalt Project near Salmon, Idaho is moving forward following the most recent approvals from the US Forest Service.  Company CEO and Chairman Mari-Ann Green reported the project is on track pending completion of a few items following a successful meeting with the Forest Service and Company representatives on November 3, 2009.  The ICP is the most recent hard rock mine to be permitted in Idaho.  BHW Partner Joe Baird, who advised FCC during the permitting process commented that the successful permitting of the Idaho Cobalt Project demonstrates the firm's expertise in getting prospective projects operational.

Obama Administration Moves to Restore Clinton Roadless Policy

  The Obama administration appealed a Wyoming District court ruling in an attempt to reinstate the Clinton roadless rule for the national forests.  A succesful appeal will effectively reinstate the rule in place during the Clinton administration and would remove the ambiguity between the later issued rules under President Bush.  The Secretary of Agriculture indicated that the Obama adminstration would initiate a new rule making initiative if the courts remain conflicted over which rule is valid.
